Human-recorded songs are $1 per release, forever. Roughly $0.92 of every AI dollar goes to the Artist Compensation Fund. No subscriptions, no renewal fees, no revenue share.

Why do AI songs cost more than human songs?

The extra dollar is the entire point. AI music exists because real musicians' work trained the models - so every AI release on ONCE carries a flat $1 surcharge that funds the Artist Compensation Fund (at base pricing, roughly $0.92 of every AI dollar). It's how AI music distribution works ethically. Same $2 whether the track came from OMG, Suno, Udio, or anywhere else. Human tracks stay at $1.

Are there any subscriptions or hidden fees?

No. ONCE has no subscriptions, no annual renewal fees, no revenue share, and no hidden fees. You pay once per release ($2 AI, $1 human) and the release stays distributed forever. ONCE takes 0% of your royalties.

Does ONCE take a cut of my royalties?

No. ONCE is paid by the flat release fee ($2 AI, $1 human), not by your streams, so we add 0% of our own and pass on 100% of every royalty payment that reaches us. The distribution pipeline we use to deliver releases and collect the money back does deduct 6-8% before it reaches ONCE, which leaves you with roughly 92-94% of what the stores paid.

What is included in the release fee?

Distribution to 20+ stores and streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, YouTube Music, and more), ISRC and UPC assignment, AI provenance scanning with automatic DSP disclosure, and PRO registration via Unison so performance royalties are collected from day one. Most releases go live within 24 to 72 hours. Generating music in OMG is free to try; you only pay when you release.

What is not included?

ONCE does not bundle YouTube Content ID, and ONCE does not offer physical distribution (CD or vinyl). If you need either, our distributor comparisons are honest about which services do.

Do credit packs change the flat pricing?

Accepted Answer

No. A release always costs 2 credits (AI) or 1 credit (human), and a credit is $1 at the base rate. In-app credit packs discount the per-credit price: 20 credits for $19 (5% off), 50 for $46 (8% off), 100 for $88 (12% off), 250 for $205 (18% off), and 500 for $390 (22% off). Custom amounts are always available at $1 per credit, and credits never expire.

What is the Token Offset?
